Death is something most of us would rather not think about. But it’s something we all need to plan for during life, to make sure your wishes are followed and your loved ones looked after.
Aiker Wills & Trusts are experts in protecting the assets you’ve worked hard for, and making sure they’re passed on exactly as you want them to be. But we’re so much more besides.
Protecting your legacy.
Whatever life throws at it.
Life is complicated. Many of us have complex families, a wide variety of assets and different tax situations – all of which can affect the way you prepare for the inevitable. And as life is constantly changing, it’s important to make sure arrangements keep up so you can always be sure your legacy will be passed on as you wish.
So we’ll become your legacy partner for life – using our expertise in every aspect of estate planning to not only make planning for the future as easy as possible, but also make sure it’s exactly right for you. Whatever happens.
Keeping your will up-to-date
Well over half of people in the UK don’t have a will – but those that do often don’t keep them up to date. Life-changing events can also mean changing your will to reflect your new circumstances – and as your legacy advisers for life, we’ll regularly check in to make sure it does, and help you make any necessary changes.

Why can you trust Aiker?
A surprising number of firms offering wills or DIY will packs do so without any legal regulation – so you could be paying for something that leaves a raft of problems for loved ones.
However, Aiker Wills and Trusts, a trading style of Elsworth Associates Ltd, is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority – meaning you can be sure we always operate to highly regulated standards. And any legally-regulated work (such as creating a trust) will be carried out by our associated firm Aiker Legal Ltd, which comes under the Solicitors Regulation Authority. So you’ll have total peace of mind when you deal with us.
Wills
Making a Will is the only way to make sure your estate is passed on exactly as you wish.
A professionally drafted Will can be combined with Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) and a Trust to help protect your estate for loved ones, and can even be used to avoid unnecessary taxation. We’ll explain the different options available, and which would be right for you.
We are Members of the Society of Will Writers
Trusts
Trusts are designed to protect property, money for children and to make provision for various beneficiaries after your death.
As Wills can be contested but Trusts cannot, they’re often combined with a Will to help meet specific wishes, protect assets from divorce, remarriage and creditors, and avoid taxation eating into their value. There are many types of trust, and we’ll help find the best for you.
Lasting Power of Attorney
If you’re unable to make decisions for yourself, for example because of a medical condition, Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is a legal document that means someone you trust (your attorney) can make them on your behalf.
There are two types of LPA, one for medical welfare and one for financial matters, and our experts can explain the benefits of each in full and put them in place for you.
